2009 Annual General Meeting

Ottawa BMX’s Annual General Meeting has been postponed until the new year. The date, time, and location will be announced in the upcoming days. We invite everybody to attend to get more involved.
Clarks Summit, PA Trip

Due to Weather forecasts in the Clarks Summit PA region, our team has decided not to make the trip down this weekend. The distance and the potential for the rain out is to great. I contacted the Track Director and he hoping to try to get the race in Sunday afternoon. Call Reg 613.324.2664 is you want more details.
PA Races – This Weekend

There is a group wanting to go down to Clarks Summit PA this weekend for the Double Points race at Cedar BMX (http://www.cedarbmxpark.com). Watching the weather forecast and it is not looking great for the weekend. I will continue to monitor this week before making my teams decision on traveling.
Halloween Race Tomorrow

Reminder, the Halloween Race is tomorrow. Reg 10-10:30. Bring a bag of candy parents for Trick or Treat around the track after the races. Also, if you want put your favorite costume on…this is the final race of the year….let’s have some fun!

Checked the track last night and with the rain today, surface in no condition to hold a race. Further communication will be issued next week in regards to the remainder of the season.

I went to the track today, checked on the conditions. With the amount of rain and cold weather, the track has not dried to the point we could race in the AM. The final corner has too much water and the starting hill to first obstacle is too soft to conduct a race. Therefore we are canceling the race for tomorrow.

Bell Monthly Awards

Ontario Provincial Final Weekend

Just a reminder that the Ontario Provincial Final Weekend is Sept 25/26 as noted on the schedule which Kevin updated a couple of weeks ago. This is the approved scheduled date with the ABA.
There is no scheduled racing in Ottawa this weekend, to allow for as many racers as possible to travel to the New York State Final Weekend at Upstate BMX.
