If you are going to the track to practice…head down the path to the back gate. Thanks, Reg

Practice July 30
Jul 30
The Redline Cup Qualifer will go ahead rain or shine, we will only cancel the event should we experience dangerous track conditions or extreme storms in our area. So plan to come out to the track no matter what the weather, expect to get wet and have some great fun!
If you happen to have any large portable tent covers to provide shelter, it would be greatly appreciated if you could help by bringing them to share with other parents and riders. We will be setting up the ones we have, but the more the better!
So unless the hot line states otherwise, we’ll see you at the track!
This evenings practice will be canceled and will be replaced with a track work party in order to get the track into shape for our big races. Of course this is all weather permitting and we will update our hot line accordingly.
Ottawa BMX on CTV News

Some of you may have noticed a camera crew from CTV during last nights races interviewing a number of riders and getting some good shots of the race action.
If you happened to miss the clip during the late night news and this mornings Morning News, you can view it online at CTV Ottawa’s website by clicking this link.
Thursday Night Practice
Jul 15
Due to scheduling conflicts with a number of our executives the track will not be set up for full practice.
You can access the track using the back entrance by following the paved path that runs between the track and the baseball diamond.
You are to use the track at your own risk and there will be not gate practice available that day.

Even with the major storm that almost had us swimming to the parking lot on Saturday, the first ever BMX Pro Clinic was successful. The BMX’ers were able to learn some very important skills to enhance their riding.
Nick Goertzen did a full session +2 hours on Friday and due to rain did another couple of hours of Q&A under the cover of tents.
Thank you Nick for coming out to Ottawa. Our riders will be cheering you on as you return to competitive racing from your injury. Go for the 3-peat!
