BMX (Bicycle Motocross) is for kids aged 4 and up where similarly aged and skilled riders race each other on a dirt track of jumps and banked corners. It is for boys, girls, parents and friends, and it is one of the most exciting sports in the world. Ottawa BMX is a volunteer, non-profit association dedicated to facilitating BMX races in the Nation's Capital. We are sanctioned by the Canadian Program of the ABA, and fully insured in Canada.

2009 Race For Life
A huge congratulations and THANK YOU to our riders and their parents for making the 2009 Race For Life CHEO Fundraiser Event a HUGE success!
With your efforts we presented The CHEO Foundation with a huge cheque, provided by our friends at Extreme Line, for a total of $3,054.85.
Over the past two years Ottawa BMX members have raised over $5,400 for The CHEO Foundation!
On top of the fundraiser, the Double Points Race saw some great racing in all classes, with many races coming down to the finish line to determine the winner.

Just a reminder that we will be racing on Thursday, June 11 instead of practice as we had to cancel our makeup race that was to be held on Tuesday due to rain.
Registration: 5:30-6:00
Racing: 6:30
Additionally, the Rogers Community Cruiser will be at the race tonight and is looking at interviewing a number of riders. So come out for the race, and you just might find yourself on TV!

This Saturday June 13 Ottawa BMX will be hosting the Annual Race For Life Race. All money raised for this charity will be donated to the CHEO Foundation.
In 2008 Ottawa BMX was able to raise 2400+ for the CHEO Foundation.
Join us this Saturday!
Join the race for a minimum $10 donation or come out to the track and cheer the riders on and donate in one of the CHEO boxes located around the track.

We are currently monitoring the weather situation today and will make a decision on tonight’s race later in the day. Keep checking the website and/or the Race Hotline for any last minute changes.

Due to recent weather we are forced to postpone tonight’s rescheduled race as the track is very wet and slippery.
We will be having a practice on Thursday night and we are asking that as many parents come out to help us work on the track as many weeds have sprouted up and the water has created some deep ruts due to water running off of the jumps.
We hope the weather warms up over the next few days so we can finally start racing on Saturday June 6.

We are pleased to announce Nick Goertzen has accepted our invitation to host a two day BMX Clinic in July.
When: July 10th & 11th – 10:00am – 4:00pm (30 Min. Lunch).
Where: Ottawa BMX Track – 2020 Ogilvie Road, Ottawa (Behind Splash Wave Pool).
Fees: $80.00/ Rider in advance (before July 5) or $90.00/Rider at the gate (July 10, 2009).
