It is for boys, girls, parents and friends, and it is one of the most exciting sports in the world. Greg Hill Clinic... Cancelled

Due to the questionable weather forecast Greg Hill and Ottawa BMX Association has decided to cancel the planned clinic.  We are greatly dissapointed having to cancel the clinic, especially on such short notice, as it was going to marrk the first time a professional hosting a clinic here in Ottawa for our riders.

We are already in the process of scheduling clinics for the 2009 season, and at this point we can only hope that the summer weather is much better than it has been for 2008.

Our apologies to all riders and parents who were planning on taking part in this clinic.

We now break from our regularly scheduled program...

Many of you may be aware, and some of you may be hearing about this for the first time, but BMX Racing is making its debut in Olympic history this summer in the 2008 Beijing Olympics which kicks off this morning with the opening ceremony.

Canada is being represented in both Men's and Women's BMX Racing by Sammantha (Sammy) Cools, and Scott Erwood.  For both Men's and Women's BMX, seeding and quaterfinals will be held on Tuesday, August 19th, and the semi-finals and finals will be held the following day on Wednesday, August 20th.

Ottawa BMX congratulates our fellow Canadian athletes on achieving the goal of making the Olympics, we wish nothing but success for those atheletes.  We will be following and posting the results of the BMX Racing on our website.
